Power and Performance

nissan

The 2016 Mazda6 features a powerful 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that uses SKYACTIV®-G technology to get you the power you need at 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY uses a higher compression ratio to burn gasoline, meaning that you’ll get a 15% increase in fuel efficiency and a 20% decrease in emissions without sacrificing the power you need. It uses a dual overhead cam shaft for more precise control, and variable valve timing as a fuel-saving measure to make sure you get the speed you want with no wasted power. Direct fuel injection means that you’ll get the power you want when you need it. Choose from a SKYACTIV®-MT 6-speed manual transmission, or a SKYACTIV®-Drive 6-speed Sport mode automatic transmission that comes with a drive selection switch, and enjoy a fuel efficiency of up to 5.8L per 100 km. The drive selection switch allows you to choose from a range of torque, steering ratios, throttle response, and more to move efficiently over any terrain and with any driving conditions.

The 2016 Nissan Altima features a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 182 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. It uses a dual overhead cam shaft and a continuously variable valve timing control system to produce its power, with a continuously variable transmission that has just one speed. This engine gets just 6L per 100 km. With power that doesn’t exceed the Mazda6’s and a fuel economy that’s decidedly not as good as the Mazda 6’s either, the Altima’s standard engine just isn’t up to par.
