Advanced Safety Systems

The 2016 Mazda6 features a powerful 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. It’s made with SKYACTIV®-Gtechnology, a process which allows for a superior fuel compression ratio in order to boost low-end torque, high-end power, and keep fuel use as low as possible while giving you the speed you need. It uses a dual overhead cam shaft system and variable valve timing to keep your car running smoothly and efficiently, only using the power you need to maintain the speed you want. This engine produces 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. Direct fuel injection means you’ll get a boost of speed when you need it.

Choose between a SKYACTIV®-MT six-speed manual transmission for complete control over your car, or opt for the SKYACTIV®-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode for a more efficient drive that gets a fuel efficiency of up to 8.5 liters per 100 km. You can also choose the steering wheel mounted paddle shifters to make it easier to shift. The Drive Selection Switch lets you configure your steering response, torque, power, and more to the terrain you’re driving over so you can negotiate in snow, ice, mud, and many other obstacles.

The 2016 Honda Accord features a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. Honda engines uses variable cylinder management as an energy-saving gambit; this is where cylinders are disengaged during cruising or at low speeds, so you don’t use fuel that you don’t need in order to save energy. However, this may mean that you won’t always get the 185 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque that the Accord’s 2.4L engine is designed to produce. This engine uses a six-speed manual transmission to get a fuel efficiency of 14 kilometers per liter.
